How the week runs
- Day 1 — one working session with you: the week as it really is, not as it should be. Your mini-audit answers are the starting point.
- Days 2–4 — the desk maps: every workflow, every tool, every leak, priced in hours at your real rate.
- Day 5 — the findings call: the map, the fix-first list, and the honest answer on whether a managed package pays for itself.

For scale: an employed part-time bookkeeper or payroll clerk loads at roughly £1,450–£1,550 a month once employer NI and pension are counted (ONS ASHE 2025). The diagnostic exists to show whether a managed lane beats that for your week — and to say so plainly if it doesn't.
The boundary
The diagnostic maps and recommends — it doesn't deliver. Regulated work (tax, legal, certification) stays with your professionals; where the map says "fix it yourself", it says so.

Then it says so — the diagnostic is honest by design. You keep the workflow map either way; plenty of fixes are ones you can run yourself.
How much of my time does it take?
Roughly an hour of interview plus the answers your mini-audit already gave. The desk does the mapping; you review the findings on one call.
